got my SIFU today.....

and am impressed for sure!! it is 1 big knife - makes my large BM AFCK look s-m-a-l-l let me tell ya - also real happy w/the blade detent which holds the blade shut, was kinda worried about the thing opening up on me, but doesnt appear very likely - stuck it in the waistband of my shorts and took about an 8 mile bike ride, it carried very well, soon forgot it was there, just like all my other knives - also compared it to my cold steel gunsite large w/a 5" blade, and the SIFU was pretty much bigger even than that - and very much better made - had to hone mine on my fine/extra fine DMT for about 20 strokes each grit, then 20 strokes on my steel and it was plenty sharp - but will use it some this wkend and post my first impressions next wk - oh and mine is # 24 of 75, w/a black blade, so i guess they have a few left at www.1sks.com, i highly recommend both the SIFU and 1sks - will use the SIFU as backup to my Glock 33 .357SIG, and also carry a Spyderco Matriarch - if ya have been thinking about a SIFU i would jump on it while ya can get the smooth handled version, I really like it better than the grooves - fits my hand better - feels a LOT like my AFCK, which is not a bad thing, that AFCK fits my hand as good as any knife i have ever tried - am very happy w/it
