Hey guys,
Got it today from Extreme Outfitters after about a 3 week delay due to some manufacturing delays. I must say this is a hell of a folder. Great lock up, nice treading on thumb and pinky area. And the wave works great. I never liked the way the old specwar open because the handle sometime got in the way of quick opening. But the wave solved that problem.I did always like the sucure grip the handle offered. Now if Emerson only made it in Satin finish and plain edge. That would make me very happy. Can't wait for the Spear point to arrive sometime next week. Tell you about it then.

Mine came today, too! Very nice all around, definitely much better with the wave. I, too, would prefer no serrations, but I'm not going to be picky. This is a very good carry knife if you don't have a 6...

I have to say, it's a nice damn knife.

Something else that impressed me was that not only is the liner serrated on the back to match up with the serrations on the thumb ramp, but the scales are serrated as well. Very nice touch.

Oh Yeah I really like the matching treading they did on the handles and blade. Really a nice touch. I can't wait for the spear point to come. Later.

I agree, especially about the nice details. I wonder why the customs don't have the same touches? If you had a 6 on order and it came with thumb notches, finger indexing, and a wave, would you complain?
 
Just got my SOCFK yesterday too. Great knife! Nice weight and great feel.

I am very impresed with this knife. I owned 2 Ravens and the SOCFK definitely surpasses them in overall quality and feel.

I especially like the dual ball bearing detent.

My SOCFK Tanto arrived today. I can echo al the previous commnets xcept that the open disc is a tight clearance with the handle but since it is made to open with the Wave I will wait to make a final decision. I will be comparing with the CQC-6, CQC-7 and Commander. Will also wait for the spear point to arrive. By the way Steve at Extreme Outfitters says that he will be getting SARK and NASA knives when available. Got to have those! Will use the SARK for Kayaking to replace/supplement my Gerber double sided whitewater knife. Don't know what I will do with the NASA knife?

Well, you could send it here, and I'll work out something to do with it. I'm a real space cadet, I know I could figure something out.

It won't go to waste! It won't languish in a box in a drawer! I'll take it out at night and show it to the stars!

I just put my order in for a spear point SOFCK, was told that I should have it by friday. Extreme outfitters will have them by Tomorrow, according to ups tracking info. Has anyone received a spearpoint yet, or just the Tanto? I was told that there will only be 100 of the spearpoints made, and so far about 60 of them are spoken for. If I had the money, I would have gotten both. This has definately changed my mind about getting a commander at the moment, but I still want one.
 
Ok Ok Now I got to call Steve tomorrow and put in my order for the NASA and SARK. Man I want all the knives with the wave. Just wish they made them in SATIN finish and plainedge. Which by the way is my favorite blade finish. Oh well got to work more to pay for this habit of mine's. Cant wait for the spear point.

None of the Spearpoints have been shipped from Exterme Outfitters yet. I place an order for the pair not long after they were anounced. At the time I decided to wait and get the two shipped together, now I wish that I had said for the Tanto to be shipped straight away - then I could have had it weeks ago.

You shouldn't have to wait much longer, they are supposed to arrive today, as well as ship out today. It won't be long now. I should have mine by friday
