Fleabay came through for me, a small benchtop Sanford. This was a wreck listed as scrap. I managed to get all the parts that were missing took apart and cleaned it up and it works great.

I thought about repainting but could not bring myself to damage this old girl. Handling all the cast parts is a real joy. I checked the surface and it is less than 0.0005 off.

I am going to make a guard out of some sheet metal next.

sweet score! There is one in my local area but it is a full size one. The price is a deal though...

Cool find. So can some so cal newbs stop by this weekend and uh... straighten some things out.... :D

Nice score man. In the pict it looks like you have a chatter free finish. My surface grinder isn't chatter free.

I'm sure that originally came with a guard. At the very least I'd wear a face shield when using it. Stones do break.

I'm amazed that your camera can capture the text on the spinning wheel so clearly...

nice grinder

Very fast shutter speed for that pic. I did not realize it was an action photo till I saw the sparks. Cool pic.

It does run smooth and really chatter free, I was suprized how well. It came with the permanent magnetic chuck with works pretty well but I have to keep the cuts shallow or the blade will slide.
