Got myself a Tilley

I bet he picked up a lot of girls..."You see this hat? This very same hat passed through an elephants bum and I'm still wearing it".

My hat was a tad loose when dry and a tad tight when wet so I was glad I bought one slightly oversized. Loved that hat until I lost it in a mall of all places :(

Ninjas?

Hey Guys...

It seems that an elephant like a zookeepers hat and ate it....

Several days later the hat came out the other end..
It was washed and was good as new...

So, if your hat doesn't shrink in the wash you could always try and elephant. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through to get a hat to fit. There aren't many elephants around here, think a cow would work?

:D Aint that the truth!!

Put the hat on yesterday and wore it on a short (5 mile) hike. Up on the ridge the wind was swirling and when I sat down for a drink and observation rest, it caught the hat and if I hadn't had the rear strap, it was gone. Fit is per their instructions I guess. Fits loose, just on top of my ears and even with the 90F temp, it was cool on the head. Well worth the price I paid.

Bought mine at the Annapolis Sailboat Show in the 80s, when he was doing his own selling and was unknown - still in great shape, though a little stained/worn looking - love it.

I bought me and my wife one last year, it's tied for the best hat I've ever owned (my Filson). I wore it on vacation to the outer banks last year and every time I turned around somebody was saying "hey, a tilley..cool!" or "Nice hat, what kind is that?" They really are nice, mine is the hemp one w/ 3" brim, perfect for anything outdoors.
