OK, I got this far, I guess I gotta finish it. This is a pretty big damascus blade for me. 303 layers of 1084, 5160, L6, mild & nickle on a 12.5" blade. Gonna heat treat it next week then grind it.

Pretty cool looking blade. You just keep coming up with those winners.... Make sure you post that bad boy when you finish.

That blade is gonna be sweet. What are the plans for the handle and fittings?

Yeah, I gotta get a piece of pvc for the ethent and a pipe to quench that big a blade. This one is a custome order so the handle is all planned out. It's suppose to be along the lines of a viking/celtic dagger with the main part of the hadle being some sort of horn (haven't worked that out yet) pinned ebony on either end of that and bronze discs for spacers and ends, some of which will have rope filework. The pommel wil be topped off with an onyx cabachon.

Let's hope. ;)

Looks like you've got your schedual booked up solid for a few day's. Nothing you can't handle, I'm sure! Long double edges are a tough one for me, but I don't get alot of practice at it, either. Keep us posted on your progress with this little project.
