Short form: NULL KNIVES RAIDEN REVERSE TUXEDO, SERGE PANCHENKO BEAN CLEAVER and KOENIG ARIUS MILLED SCALES BRONZE HARDWARE, if one of these Knives offered somewhere "WITHOUT" original packaging and "WITHOUT" COA might be plain stolen from me!!!

Now the full Story.
Im from Germany and obviously im a knife collector and enthusiast, as some may know and others may imagine its pretty difficult to aquire most pieces over here. So i got a good friend in the US whos also a collector and enthusiast. He is basically the trusted person who i order my aquisitions to and then he passes them along to me.
Last anticipated package should contain the three knives listed above, it arrived today and as soon as i opened it up i couldnt believe what i saw. My friend did sent me pictures of the packaging process and clearly visible in comparison somewhere along the ride there was added way more layers of the red Priority Mail Tape obviously because it has been opened by someone to retract the knives. Also i can tell by specific what i found in the package and in what arrangement that whoever did it did it in a hurry. All the Original packaging including stickers, microfiber cloths and COA´s where still in the package and the way everything was put back together and back in the main box was surely done very fast, by someone who had not enough time and space to fit the full original containers with the knives. Straight ahead before anyone tries to make any assumptions, It was not done by the mentioned friend who initially sent the package, he is a very honest and absolutely trustworthy guy. Also has he a rediculous high value collection and the "just" 1070$ we are talking about here would be a joke and not worth doing something like this to a friend. So obviously i cant stop anyone from buying one of the mentioned knives but as far as i know this community as a very kind, fiendly, welcoming and honest one, i just wanted to get this at least to myself very important information out there to eventually get some justice or at least keep this shitstain from making a quick buck with my paid property.

Thanks to everyone taken the time reading.
please share this and let know as many as possible.
Thank you BF and all honest Members.

Oof that sucks! Did it have a customs form on it that said "knives"?
Yes it was labled as "folding knives" these days you have to do a specific description cause if not you risk getting it seized by customs because of "vague discripton"

I believe USPS tracks the weight of the package as it flows through their network. The may be able to confirm where it became lighter.

Thats exactly what i already thought about and trying to find out, somewhere on the ride it got roughly 1 pound lighter. But the big difficulty there for me is actually gathering all this information from over here with the different time zones etc. but im in contact with my buddy and he will do everything he can in this case.

Sending a package like that through the USPS is asking for disaster, which is what you have now. The chances that the insurance will pay are very, very low. Always send expensive packages like that through FedEx or DHL Express. I looks expensive in the beginning, but now?

Chances are a USPS employee stole it, and they will slow-walk any information, you'll need to submit photos, justify price, etc., etc., and in the end you won't get anything; they'll tell you it happened in Germany. I lost one $1k package that way, and another one was cut open - but I thankfully didn't loose that knife as it was glued against the inside of the box.

Just to set your expectation ... Das stinkt, I know.

Expectations are already low as they can be.
At least i can proof by weight if it was already done when it arrived in germany, i requested the check in form which is getting done as soon as the package arrives in germany and on that form also the weight at check in is written down. So at least i can get proof of that.
But yeah this sucks…

Well….
If i knew earlier.
Would have paid triple the shipping for now having the knives instead of empty boxes and COA‘s. But at least i got a neat sticker from null knives…

Again this is late advice now, but reviews on insurance through Pirate Ship are very good from what I've seen. It is normally a lot cheaper than paying USPS/UPS direct as well

Not sure what you paid, but I doubt triple would have been enough. A small package FedEx would have been easily over $100 unless the shipper had a FedEx account. International shipping is now very expensive.

Anything remotely valuable shipped through the US Postal Service should only be sent REGISTERED Mail, period. That is how Rolex and other expensive watches, jewelry, diamonds, etc. are routinely shipped. I have never heard of a Registered package being stolen since every single person who touches that package has to sign off on it. The last time I used it it came with $5000 insurance as part of the cost and if you needed more than that you had to pay for it but it was not too bad because it ships so securely the risk of loss is almost zero. If anyone has ever lost anything using USPS Registered mail please post about it.

Plus the package is handled differently, it is put into a “safe area” at every postal stop. The package is never put into the regular sorting system. As you said at each stop it’s handed off and signed for. Never lost anything sending or receiving registered mail.

Funnily enough, I migrated to pirate ship after USPS' website flagged my 5yo account for security concerns and wouldnt accept any one of my cards (the same cards I'd been using for years). Wouldnt even let me pay via PP.

Super happy they gave me the whammy, pirate ship is so much better by comparison.
