Got some aluminum scales for my Paramilitary 2>>>>>>>>

Rd is the color Spyderco designates for training knives, not live blades.
A more accurate statement would be that Spyderco reserves them for trainers on models where they offer a trainer. Polished red G-10 Sprint Run C83 Persian would be an example of a fairly recent live-blade Spyderco with red scales. So, unless Spyderco thinks they might offer a PM2 trainer at some point, they might at least consider offering red scales on a regular one.

You're correct. Thanks Paul. :)

Im curious how easy they were to install. Geting the lanyard tube removed from the g10 sales is very hard since the tube is flared at the ends. I can only imagine aluminum scales being even tougher to install since it would give less than g10.

Gotta love red!

Pardon the iPhone 4s pic.

Just took the para2 to a new level.

Looks seriously good.

I know a pimp when I see one ;)

:D you just killed me :D:D:D

nice scales btw, my gripewith anodised aluminium is that its not very impact resistant. scratches are no big deal but drop it once and it'll look like a piece of ****

Whoa & wow!
RJ- Do you have the clout to get some Paras in Red G10? Red's my color.

You pry the G10 off of the tube, which takes about 20 seconds or less. It's easiest to just wiggle them back and forth while pulling up. They come off fairly easily. After they are off, you literally just lay the new scales down and screw them on. The lanyard tube doesn't press into the aftermarket scales. :)

He also makes them in a Honey Comb Pattern, I'm assuming for added grip. Very nice. Right now I'm in love with the Green ones that I'm seeing. I need them.
Now he just needs to make Blue.

Those scales look beautiful, curious how other colors look... I would be interested in purchasing one of those aluminum scales.

You're correct - it's no easy task to get the lanyard tube out of the G10 handles but it went together MUCH easier.
