Your edit is confusing after you confirmed it was John Grimsmo.
My mistake. I've ordered from Grimsmo and recognized the name. Went back and checked and it was actually Allen Putman.

A more accurate statement would be that Spyderco reserves them for trainers on models where they offer a trainer. Polished red G-10 Sprint Run C83 Persian would be an example of a fairly recent live-blade Spyderco with red scales. So, unless Spyderco thinks they might offer a PM2 trainer at some point, they might at least consider offering red scales on a regular one.Rd is the color Spyderco designates for training knives, not live blades.

Pardon the iPhone 4s pic.
I know a pimp when I see one![]()
Im curious how easy they were to install. Geting the lanyard tube removed from the g10 sales is very hard since the tube is flared at the ends. I can only imagine aluminum scales being even tougher to install since it would give less than g10.
Somebody make them in Ti and I am all in for sure!!!!

Whoa & wow!
RJ- Do you have the clout to get some Paras in Red G10? Red's my color.
Somebody does, with a compression framelock too![]()
