Got my bocote handled Personal Defense today. It's a decent little knife; light in the hand and thin. Draw from the sheath was pretty slow, as the knife sits deep inside. I quickened up the draw with a short lanyard. Thank you for the knife.

Thanks. I make sheaths "just to hold knives" :o There are a lot of class act sheathmakers on this forum. They can cater to your specific needs.

Thanks again for your purchase. May it serve well.

I still have the quarter sawn oak Personal Defense and the coffee nut Dance partner Jr available.

An update on my bocote Personal Defense: although this knife is not scary sharp out of the box, I realized after a little use that it cuts like nobody's business! I think the curve of the edge combined with the thin blade make it a serious slicer. Also, in keeping with its named purpose, it pierces quite well. I'm pretty good at not cutting myself, but some VERY light pressure while cleaning the knife, I got a nice poke in the fingertip.
As an aside, I gave the blade a stripey mustard finish, which subdues the blade nicely.
Thank you David!

Coffee nut Dance partner Jr is sold. Only one knife left, the quarter sawn oak Personal defense.

all sold.
