Got some new INFI, it's a freakin' machete and it's not the Bushwacker.

Well it's not really a machete, but it's getting up there in length. Wow what I chopper, I was dropping small saplings with a single whack, it beat the crap out of seasoned wood as well. I wish I had more time to play with it but I will this weekend. I don't know what a lot of you are talking about, this chops a great deal better than my FFBM. I will say the knife kind of has a mind of it's own though, I need to pay extra attention before I end up in the ER.

The edge was "sharp", but not polished/finished. It looks like it was finished with a 220 grit belt, but it does the job. This weekend I think I'll blend the edge with the convex grind, to make it more like the NMFBM LE and polish it up nice. I don't feel like grinding now, have to work soon.

I can't believe I didn't buy one sooner.

Sounds Great looks good too, nice pair,:thumbup: Congratulations

Yeah, it's my favorite color combo. It won't look pretty for long, but I'm not going to strip this one until I absolutely can't look at it anymore. I'm curious to how the sage coating wears.

from what I've seen the standard edge from busse is about a 120-200 grit sanding, and then a polished cutting edge. the result is something that shaves, but looks really really rough. If you look really closely at the area right at the cutting edge itself, it's a high polish. it's just the flats of the edge that look gnarly.

muahahahahaa... so happy I got mine with standard machined scales. only one out there woooyeah!!!!

Congrats 230 nice score! I love the one I got. I bought it stripped and polished already! Its one heck of a chopper have fun with it!!:D

Hand shaped micarta... nice  The hand shaped is way better than machined, IMHO.

But that ain't no machete, bud - WAY too thick. It might be a sword, though.... :D

I've found that the sage wears very nice compared to some of the other coatings. Starts to smooth out and does not chip off as much. Same combo I got for my NMFBM too:thumbup: Good score!

Sweet blade, and glad you are happy with it. Over time the sage blade and tan handles really grew on me. Now I love em!

Congrats!

Yep, they are a chopping machine. I stripped mine, gave it a really ghetto (ugly) satin finish, and reprofiled/convexed the edge.

I noticed that too, it wears like iron.

Nice Mistress:thumbup: The NMFBM is an awesome chopper:eek:
I like that color combo too.

When I bought mine, i said that i would never need another knife...(minus long hikes) it is the ultimate field knife for digging, chopping, splitting, and fighting cougars! .but as we all know here, "Busse potato chips: you just cant eat one!"

Swweeetttt Blade Mike!!! The NMFBM is kinda hard to beat. Enjoy it Bro...
