That and the FBM CG are the best dang choppers around....especially for the money. About the only better chopper would be the NMFBM LE. It's a freaking ass machine!

Yep, they are a chopping machine. I stripped mine, gave it a really ghetto (ugly) satin finish, and reprofiled/convexed the edge.

Am I right in assuming this is a convex grind with a v edge? Should be easy to make convex.

I know when my ASH-1 started to wear, it wasn't chipping, just smoothing over. I wonder how long it takes me until I strip it. I love the look of worn knives too.
