Got STEEL and GOOD Vibes?!

Thanks Phil, it is definitely good to clear the air. But it is good to state the positive.

I am always amazed at the ingenuity of people here, and elsewhere on the internet. I have learned a lot here. It seems there are a lot of people here that are like me, in that they would rather build something rather than buy it. I take pride in making my own equipment and I get a lot of ideas here.

From the first knife show I attended I have been amazed at the free exchange of information in this field of knowledge.

I am impressed with how "gentle" everyone is when someone asks for feedback. It reminds me of a photo class I took. We would place our mounted photo in front of the class and everyone could make comments about it. We all knew that what we said could influence the grade that the teacher gave the student and that if we talked trash about someone's photo they could reciprocate on our photos. The old saying "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" ruled the day. There were lots of comments about the good things and the bad things just weren't mentioned.
