Got the new stones

I got the Congress Ruby stones but they do not even come close to fitting the base of my sharpmaker. Guess I will build a base for them as the price is sure right.

Thats a shame. All three sets of mine fit just perfect!

Depending on the definition of "not even come close", try lapping them with a diamond hone. I'd think it'd be a PITA to create a base for a triangular stone.

That sucks, I know you were looking forward to 'em. Did you consider sending them back to exchange them? They must have crappy Q/C there- there's no excuse for them not to be the listed size.

I got the 1/2 inch but they are to big. I ordered a set of the 3/8 ones already. They do work well though. I got the 120 grit in the 1/2 inch I ordered the 150 grit in the 3/8. I tried them out buy setting them at a 40 degree angle in a large squeez clamp with rubber grips in the jaws. It works.

I might try dressing them down with a diamond stone or the belt sander.
