I agree with you.

I want the FFBM however, because of its thickness, and I don't really like the rounded edges that the NM process leaves; at least on the spine.

Also, the NMFBM has the more flat and strait spine, and I'm just not a fan.

You really can't go wrong with either. Also, a used FFBM is usually less expensive than same in the NMFBM. I like both, but the NMFBM seems to be a little more agile
