Have a Sog Government Recon for sale, has a few very light scratches other than that is like new. Original sheath with it asking $3k which I know seems high but given the other one in worse condition going for $5k on ebay gotta get what it's worth. That having been said will consider serious offers from a collector with good reputation. Feel free to message with any questions or if you would like more pictures. No international will ship priority express with signature confirmation. Thanks!

Looks like a plain satin model to me, and thought the same thing when I saw the eBay listing (before seeing it here). If you look at the other one that's listed for $5k, the bluing is very obvious.

Are you associated with them? If not then I would suggest making an appointment with an optometrist.

Not associated with them at all, and with my contacts I have 20/15 vision ;) It is true that pics 1, 5, and 7 look "dark", but that could just be the angle, since pics 2, 3, 4, and 8 make it look very "satin-y". I know light can play tricks, but come on, doesn't look blued at all! If you go to the SOG Knives Collector website, they have pics of the regular Government and Recon Government...the difference is night and day, which is why it is understandable that people are questioning yours. And can't really blame them when $3k is on the line...

The "satin-y" look is because this knife, unlike the one listed for 5k, has not been extensively used. The other knife is dirty and in worse condition. Please take a picture of a satin finished knife that appears "dark" like that.

Who are these people questioning it, other than you?

Ok, here is a regular satin one that I sold a few years ago...these are some of the pics I used in the eBay listing. Not quite as dark as your darker pics, but darker than your satin-y pics...shows the impact of lighting:
