I think tomorrow would be pretty optimistic..I'm not expecting till 5th...any sooner would be great.

In my expierience working for UPS, with even mild precipitation there is an increase in packages taken to rewrap. The condition of boxes being sorted also drops. Luckily knife boxes don't make good foundations.
As an aside, I'm kinda bummed to see all of the shipping as usps. I wasn't sure what carrier to expect (first order), but had my fingers crossed that it would come through the facility. There goes my shot at a free airport grade X-ray :(
 
USPS insurance rates are insane, but they're convenient and I like the flat rate options.
UPS just plain...well...sucks.
FEDEX has always been good to me.
 
I work in shipping, and FedEx is the least favored of the three. Ups gets most of our high dollar orders, because adding insurance is inexpensive and their claims process is way less of a hassle. Priority Mail isn't horrible with claims. We have had the usps lose more packages than the other two, though. It's probably all a crapshoot based on location.
 
Private party shipments are basically just the CEOs bonus. UPS makes all their money shipping international commercial cargo, large business contracts (Apple, amazon, usps) and then local retail pickups.
It must be a pretty penny because they pay their employees really well and issue refunds pretty much question free.
That being said I never use UPS, even with a discount. Living in AK, cost is a huge factor so I rate them: usps, FedEx then UPS for sure
 
I ordered on the 16th and paid on the 22nd still awaiting shipment for one $500 grab bag:)

I don't mind waiting till after the holiday to receive shipping notice.
Be nice if everyone's coming back to work in a good relaxed mood.
Hopefully sliding all sorts of INIF in everyone's bags!!!!!:cool:
