Grab Bag Giveaway II the winner is #9 SA Condor

I love this knife, and have been carrying it for about a month and a half.
Generous giveaway, I can always use a few more traditionals as I own less than 10.
So I'm definitely in.

Great GAW! Thanks for the chance. I just finished laying out half a dozen or so rolls of insulation into my attic above the master bedroom. Hopefully, that'll help with this summer heat. My trusty Soddie made easy work of trimming the thick insulation. Too bad it couldn't make the job easier on my poor knees!

Good luck to all that enter!

Great idea for a giveaway. I'm in, and thanks.

This TC Barlow sure gets carried a lot. Slim, pinchable, open and close easily with one hand.

It was in my pocket while trying to figure out what was making a clanking noise in the left front wheel.

Finally got it sorted after years of driving me mad! Had the ball joints replaced chasing that noise. Turned out to be a tiny spring on the brake pad missing. Got a free one at the tire store from their junk drawer and fixed!

The mystery and suspense of not knowing what's in the grab bag got me hooked on average gimp's original GAW, and I'm still dying to find out what's in the box for this continuation! Thanks for turning your prize from the original into this generous GAW, Jeff! Good luck, everyone; you're posting pics of some very nice knives! I use lots of knives, but when it comes to pure cutting performance, I'm sure impressed by my Opinels! (One of them got a handle mod yesterday, and I found out it will also need a blade mod because the blade tip is now dangerously proud; am I a good planner, or what?)

Wharny with an EO notch?

Nice looking work, any stain or finish planned?

My current plans (once I purchase a couple of files) are to try for a spearpoint. At breakfast today, I used a Sharpie to color exactly what I'd like to remove, and I think it will look pretty good if I can actually do what I'm visualizing.

I put a coat of tung oil finish on the handle yesterday, and plan to add another coat or two. Next time I try an Opinel handle mod, I think I'll try some stain before the tung oil to get something considerably darker.

Thanks for your interest, NJBill.

Sounds good!
For cheap practice, grab a 1" wooden dowel from your local home improvement store. You can try torching an area, jigging it, stains and varnishes and a bunch of other things.
Maybe $3-$4 for a 3' section offers a bunch of real estate.

Thanks for keeping us informed! I love mods and projects on factory knives.

Here's one of my favorites, a Case Half Whittler. Had to have the pen blade replaced, currently waiting for it to return from Bradford, PA.

It's one of the Fire and Ice series that GEC did for schrade. It's an automatic too! Push on the lever and the blade flips out the side. Based on the #73 frame. Very hard to find and very expensive to convince someone to let one go........ I want to say they were $350 originally!

Way to pay it forward and thanks for the entry. I have always been fond of the Boy Scout knife. So here is my Camillus.

Oops...I see I entered twice. I must be losing it...

Thank you. It looks like some kind of 1920's-1940's switchblade by schrade. Nice piece there.
