This knife was made by Sheffield cutler Grace Horne. It has an old Sheffield-made carbon steel blade. The bolsters and liners were machined from wrought iron. The scales are a dark burgundy micarta. There is a 'secret' rose stem filed on the inside surface of the spring. It is a wonderful modern interpretation of a classic pruner and a real beauty.

That's not only nicely made, unusual but it looks practical indeed:thumbup:

Very nice of you to show this Steve, and it confirms my already high opinion of micarta as a handle for many traditional knives.

Cool,I love to see stuff like that S-K

She is an awesome maker eh? I had one of her pieces once with a silver/steel laminate blade. Solid gold bolsters with a copper pivot pin revealed in them

It was too lovely - you have a real winner there s-k :)

A wonderful pruner Steve , those etched integral iron bolsters really add something,

Every knife Grace makes is special, she really pays great attention to even the smallest detail, cutting edge designs, shape and form, pure class.
