Grail Arrival!!

Thanks guys, I'll snap a few more pics in the daylight tomorrow.

Came shaving sharp, the only thing I wish I could change is the blade steel. Came with 440C which is nothing to turn your nose up to but I really like the way CSC does D2. Canal Street does make a stockman in D2....hmmmm.

This thing pairs well with my CSC Barlow in their reclaimed american chestnut. I may have found my EDC for the next week.

Holy Grail, Justin! That's a real looker!:thumbup:
I admire your patience; 3 years is a long time to be on the lookout. White Whale, indeed :D

Getting a grail knife is always a happy day, this one is very pretty in particular and looks high quality. I'd say use it

Justin,

Nice looking knife. Is it the black corncob jigging that you were after or the knife? Just curious what you were looking for? I can't describe what makes me go on the hunt for a knife I just know when I see it. My wife gets nervous when I am looking at all the pictures on here.

Justin if you haven't tried CSC's 440C I think you'll like it. I've spent a year or so with Canal's 440C stockman and It holds a edge well. Not D2 well but it is stainless so no worries when I spend a day on the river.

It was the black corn cob bone. You can find CSC Stockman knives, but that style bone is scarce on the secondary market.

That sure is a beautiful knife Justin, congratulations - Wow..... is a sweetheart for sure!

CSC does not get a lot of action around here but their patterns really get me going. I just wanted to share that today I have received my white whale, a knife that has alluded me for the better part of 3 years. A CSC 4" stockman in black corn cob bone. I'm torn now as I want to get it to work in my rotation with the GEC Dixie Stockman and Buck BCCI 301, but this thing is just beautiful. The bolsters and backsprings are mirror polished along with the blade.

I think I need to find another so I have one to look at it and another to use. Maybe it won't take 3 years to find a back up.

I really wish we saw more of this style jigging.
