I am so excited I had to share with my friends. I told my wife about it but I did not get the excited response I was looking for. I finally sprung for one of my grail guns.
The Heckler Koch Mark 23 45acp. Below are a couple stock photos. I will be sure to post pics of the real thing as soon as it arrives.

I have a USP .40. Its a ball to shoot. Can't imagine what an upgrade to .45 would be like!

Great! I have thought of a Mk23 a bunch of times! I have/have had 5 HK pistols, and not one of them has experienced a malfunction of any sort.

Gonna get the matching can? You'd be doing the pistol a dis service if you didn't...

I am not familiar with HK's guns but I know they are very nice and that one is wicked looking. Kinda looks like a Glock mixed with a Beretta........except cooler than either......oh yeah, and it's a .45. Looking forward to some better pics and more info! :D

O U T S T A N D I N G !
Congratulations! The Mk23 is one of my absolute favorite guns (extremely grail worthy)
I hope to have one soon, for now my H&K USP Expert 45 acp will have to do.

I am working on getting the can for it. The red tape is a bit to work through but it will happen eventually. You are absolutely right though. It has to have the can.

Very familiar with this fine handgun...you WILL enjoy it! Congratulations on an excellent choice... BM11's right...you gotta have the can!:thumbup:

Awesome, i have a usp 45 and absolutely love it. Hope one day i can afford the Mk23.

Big handful of fun. Is the one you have coming the SOCOM threaded for a can or non threaded. I remember in around 1995 or so when they came out. I bought the USP in 9mm and I am still kicking myself for not doing the MK23. Be sure to post some pics when she shows up. Congrat's!

Awesome Garth! I had a P7M8 that I wish I had been able to keep, had to sell it for almost half what I paid and now they are almost double that :grumpy:
Have lots of fun with it!!!:D:D:D

It should feel right at home here, with a few friends.

OK. I'll admit I have a thing for HKs. Kind of like Busse Knives. When only the best will do.

Dude thats awesome!! Now you just need to find a LAM unit and you can have the gun as it was issued to SOCOM :D

Great purchase. Still need an HK45 or HK Mark 24 (more commonly called the HK45ct) though. :P

Get yourself a NFA trust. That's what I did, and it has made each of my three NFA purchases infinitely easier than doing it as an individual.

Oh, and unless you have to have the original, don't get the KAC can. Get a Silencerco Osprey or AAC Ti Rant. The KAC is a dinosaur.
