Congratulations Grandpa Jack! I just got my 1st grand child this past year also.
That pen is a beauty, those older pearl handled knives with out bolsters & with out fractures are getting harder to come by all the time. Sometimes its just meant to beEnjoy them both!
Dave
My grandad could too. Of course, his had been. That wasn't the only trick he'd pull with the kids. He would tell them, "see what happens if you suck your thumb!" or ask them if they could put their thumb in their ear. Have fun grandpa!
Now about the in-hand photo (great contrast by the way): do you have large hands or is this just a small knife, perhaps of the Eisenhower size (3 1/8 inches)? I only ask because I just won Duane's give-away of a Texas Jack and if I posted an in-hand photo of it someone might think he gave away a peanut!
A beauty indeed Jack! And I'll add my congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter too
Cheers,
Griff
Congratulation to the freshgranddad and a very elegant pen knife suitable to your new status  It always reminds you this great day when you first became grandfather.
Mike
Congratulations Jack on both, especially the granddaughter! That fine pen jack looks like a shadow end Case Eisenhower pattern! That's a dandy old Sheffield!
