Grandfather's Boker Tree Brand - Please tell me whatever you can!

Have a look on Bokers website. You will see a couple that are similar.I was surprised how inexpensive some (not all) their knives are.

meako the newer Bokers are mainly Asian ( there are a few still German ones) which explains there low price...The knife here is an older German model. Nice knife!

The Boker two blade equal end jack knife model #8842 has a fairly long history overall but a shorter one for this particular German made model. The #8842 was originally produced in the US in the 1940s and 1950s and looked slightly different than this one shown with a federal type shield and a few minor cosmetic differences, but in the same pattern and number. In the 1960s the #8842 was produced in Germany with German blade and shield markings. By the early 1970s the #8842 was again produced in America with USA markings and was discontinued in the mid 1970s.

I didn't like to mention it but yeah the price is a good indicator of who is making what with whom.:D
The newer ones from the website all seem to have clip main not spear-which might help date it.

Thank you so much for that information! That really narrows it down quite a bit! Seems like it would've been a lot easier to just change the model # along the way to reflect all those country of origin changes.
