Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe
I purchased this probably 15 or so years ago, I used it in my backyard for some limbing chores, cleaned it up and it has been stored ever since. It still has the original factory edge, although I did polish the bevel. The poll is untouched.
The only modification I did is to gently sand off that terrible coating that the factory puts on these axes and then rubbed several coats of Lin-Speed oil into it. It has a beautiful orange tint. Very nice, mostly straight grain.
This one was forged by “LP”, Lennart Pettersson. The entire head was coated with Renaissance Wax.
The leather guard is thick leather; it was properly treated and oiled and stored away from the head. It still fits quite tight, and the leather is surprisingly thick, almost like horse hide. I have handled a few of these recently, and the current leather is much thinner.

The only trade I am looking for would be one of Aaron Gough’s Resolute Mark III knives, in satin finish.
