OK, bought a new pc and bought 8Gb memory and ati firegl 5100 card. So the old ones are "spare" that I'll keep in case something breaks or sell to you if you need it for some reason.

1 320-3961 64MB PCIe x16 nVidia,Quadro NVS 280, dual VGA, Graphics Card, Dell Precision 470/670 Let's say 20$

1 310-4983 512MB, DDR2 ECC SDRAM Memory, 400MHz, 2X256, Dell Precision 470/670 Factory Install

These are actually TWO 256 MB DDR2 ECC REG say 40$.

Or make me a trade offer.

I've been out of the loop a long time.

I snatched up an ati 9800 pro z/ 256, but now some of my fave old games won't run, so I'm lookin for a cheap but medium-end PCI card to plug in.

Will that PCIe card run on non-express PCI slotted motherboards? If so I'll take it. Just lookin to run my oldschool Unreal Tournament mods, ya know?

I'd take the mem too, but I've got a gig of single-channel which is equivalent.

Thanks

PCI express is not backwards compatible, so will only work in a pci express motherboard.

The ram also is ddr2 which again is not backwards compatible with normal ddr slots, so unless you have a new motherboard, yoiu won't be able to use this either.

There's no reason that Unrel or UT shouldn't run fine on your 9800. It must be a driver issue or the game needs patching.

Thanks. Bummer!
I have a new MB that'll take DDR2, but like I said no real need for it.

I'll give rolling back drivers a shot on my 9800, and see what patches are available.

Thanks all
