Just talked to Jason on Text,..........They are OK!!:D No power, lots of trees down... but,, Great News!!!

Thanks for the info.

When it was downgraded to a cat 2 I'm sure all there were relieved:thumbup:

Did he say if he was back to his house yet?

Sweet! Glad to hear it Jason.

Now you have some firewood to baton...

I love being wrong when the news is this good. :D

Early signs ... heck, even late signs ... pointed to strengthening. Then the available energy dropped as the temperature moderated.

A good reminder that models are just that ... models.

i wish i had a stump like Guyon!!! I bet Jason might have multiple stumps now huh.... Awesome, as long nothing fell on his place! We will hope for the best!

With all the downed limbs, Jason should be able to put all those choppers he has to some good use! Glad he is ok. :D

Glad to hear the Gravelface clan is doing okay.

lots of trees down...

Maybe the Busse crew will send him an advance NMFBM.

I think it strained the axle on my trailer. At first, I went after a hunk twice its size, but I had a little reality check trying to roll that one up the trailer ramp.

Glad you're good, Jason.

With all the storms out there in the Atlantic, Miami's like the center of the target. Eventually we're gonna catch some hail, so today, finally, I got some aluminum accordion shutters put on the house. It was $3500 I didn't REALLY want to spend, but at least now we have some peace-of-mind. Couple the accordions with the fact that my house was built in the 1952 with POURED CONCRETE, as well as the fact that I have a new roof, and I hope to be okay during a storm. If anything like Katrina (or worse, ANDREW) comes through again, I'll be heading up north regardless. We don't fwack around with Hurricanes down here. Not after Andrew...

Ain't no hurricane gonna mess with Gravelface. . . . His HOG Fu is way too strong!!!! . . . . Glade to here all is well ! ! !

Jerry :D

Howdy folks....back in the house...powered and online all in 72 hours!!! It is GREAT to be on the same grid as the local hospital!

I will get some pictures up later, but we faired through this one well. My shed took the most damage......about 1/3 of the roof peeled back, and buckled all the doors.

The house took a few shingles that lead to 2 small leaks, but a quick patch job handled that.

Thanks everyone!

we followed what happend in new orleans here in germany at the news.
jason, good to hear that you and your family are okay
a roof can be repaired. not too heavy damage ;)

Arne! Good to hear from you...you better believe I have been using and will continue to use them...plenty of limbs to chop!
