Just got off the phone with Jason. He got out of recovery about 1/2 an hour ago. It seems they got the shrapnel out. They opened his leg to do exploratory and to clean out infection and found the piece had migrated from it's origin to the back/lower portion of his thigh. He says he is taking pictures of it for those of us that are morbidly curious. Anyhow, just thought I'd let you all know.
 
Oohrah, Jason! I vote he makes it into something about 50 cal and send it back to them at 2,700 fps. Get stronger and well.
