Never mind. A pic came up of a different sword with metal scabbard. I must be losing it.

#4 is the village style karka bas, but it's shiny.

#3 looks like a kumar wood handled bas. White metal furnature yet the handle looks finished.

The WWll villager looks like an AK to me. Is that a fuller or a shadow?

Reminds me of your Bonecutter, HD.
They are very similar. The BGRS is more pointed and the flat area on the blade is longer on the Bonecutter. Also, at least on the ones I have had, the edge is similar. Thin convex where you don't have to make as wide of a notch on a thick log to get down in there and cut.

I'd like to hear user feedback on micro-BGRS (15-16") vs.....

Dean, I should have some time to chop with it during our holiday shutdown.

Any special comparisons you'd like to see?

The Pen, the 15 Sirupati, and a BAS, if you have one light enough. A 24oz BAS has got to cut better. (doesn't it?)

my two cents

Oh Sweet! You got it Aardvark? Yea, give us a report when you got time. I'd like to see how it does vs like your standard BAS.

There are Bas's and Bas's....er...I don't think any sub 20oz blade could outcut the BAS I got from you, Hollow. It weighs 24, has a slender neck, and chops very very well. It outcuts the first BAS I got from the Kami without a name, which also weighed 24.

Knives are funny. HI knives are funnier- same size same model do different things well.

I have had too much morphine this AM. Two mistakes in posting. The first khukuri next to UDDA is an Ang Khola, not WWII. It is still available and so is the kerambit. Everything else gone.

Yeah, with the exception of the cracks I thought that knife had an awesome shaped handle. Very stout blade too.

that Uddha sword has got to be one of my most favorite long-blade designs. I currently have 5 knives "in progress" that have that exact profile....shorter, but the same idea.

It's calling my name.....thank goodness this one's gone already...

Hollow, that handle has never recracked. But I did soak a lot of Super glue into it.
