I had purchased a Case Hobo in amber bone a couple/few years ago from one of the big box sporting goods stores. I live in the Syracuse NY area, and I must travel about 25 miles (to just outside of Auburn NY) to visit this store, and it's the only store that I know of in the area that carries a nice selection of Case knives (actually having a separate display case just for their Case brand knives). When I purchased the Case Hobo, I noticed it had been made in 2007, so even though they have a nice selection of Case, they don't seem to move very fast. On the other hand, their selection of much cheaper imported knives seem to have a good output in sales for them. Just another obvious sign that the lower priced imported knives are not only here to stay, they will be the final nail in USA factory produced traditional knives. By the way, that Case Hobo I purchased from them is a real beauty, and a facinating gadget. Case may not be the most expensive American traditional knives, but my collection has some of their representations that place them as one of my favorites (a tough choice for me between them and some of my Queens/Schatt & Morgans). But then again, having both flavors shuts down that dilemma, lol! 😉
Even with the Hobo having a more complex overall build requirement (being that it comes apart into three separate pieces and all), it still has a nicely centered knife blade and fork 👍😎👍
