I was sitting on my bed, taking the pocket clip off my Fallkniven PXL Magum folder, and I dropped a screw. Bad news... I immediately looked for it on my clothing, on the bed, on the carpet by the bed, but it was as if the screw had vanished into thin air. The screw is pretty tiny, but it was just crazy. :grumpy:

I finally gave up the search and googled to find out what size the screw was. No luck. Then I went to the Fallkniven.com web site to see if they had a parts list. Again, no luck. I finally resorted to using the "Contact " link on fallkniven.com, to ask them what size the screw was, so that I could try to find a replacement screw somewhere. Fallkniven replied via email and said, "No problem, we will send you a new screw today."

Wow! Now that's customer service, especially considering that they are overseas (in Sweden)! :D Makes me proud to be an owner of four Fallkniven knives.

I am a lifer if the Cust.Serv. is good. Had an "8-day" WAKMANN clock I removed from a 30 year old Cessna. Opened it and found a simple broken spring. Wrote to WAKMANN in NYC asking about stock and price. A week later I got a main spring in the mail with a bill for about $5. THAT is good customer service.

That's awesome man. I love the look of their blades. Good to know that they back up their product.

Not sure if you tried this, but in the future, if you should lose another screw, I've had good luck using a magnet on carpet. Those long bar magnets that are meant for holding chefs and other kitchen knives against the wall are quite useful as a wand for this purpose. Otherwise I use a rare earth magnet. They can be found at Radio Shack or cheaper at HF. I rarely drop a screw, but if I do, I'm glad to have a magnet! ;)

My best CS experience... I was talking about doing a mod on my Benchmade. Not long after I posted I got an email from a tech there that offered to do the job free of charge. I got back a perfect modded knife that I'll never sell or trade. They've got my business for life. :)

I e-mailed them to discuss why my F1 was chipping so easily and was told that it was my fault for using the knife too hard. I sold the knife and have not owned another Fallkniven since.
