GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE - BENCHMADE

I have a bm 970s and 975sbt that are no longer made and the handle screws had stripped out the g10 scales over time. I sent a note to Benchmade requesting some inserts and new screws ( the same system used on the Strykers) and told them I could repair these knives myself. They promptly replied with some new screws and inserts. I counter sunk some holes for the inserts and now the knives are better than new - much stronger handles. I was pleasantly suprised at this great customer service as I have requested new screws from other companies that have failed to even bother replying.
Well done Benchmade!

Just got my second Benchmade today (I returned the first one because I hated the serrations it had). BM 730. Axis lock is awesome, a little gritty at first though, but I just had to get used to it. My only complaint is that the factory edge was duller than most of the stuff from Frost Cutlery. That isn't really a big deal though, I sharpened it up and it shaves hair now.

I am pleased to say that I haven't had any problems yet that have forced me to talk to BM's customer service department. I don't like talking to customer service departments, no matter how good. It generally implies something has gone wrong. Chang does not like it when something bad happens to his knives.
