I contacted KAI about getting a new torsion bar for a ZT 0566, and a new pocket clip for for my ZT 0456. That is the one that is anodized blue titanium. They told me the torsion bar was FREE, the pocket clip was only $10(!), and shipping was FREE too. I was just hoping the clip might be as little as $20. No. Ten dollars TOTAL.
KAI must be selling that pocket clip at or very close to cost. After market ones cost $25 to $35.
I LOVE Zero Tolerance knives. I think they are the finest knives for the money of EVERY knife line available. And, of course, they are made in the USA, too. Top quality knives in the $140 to $300 range, with some VERY nice knives with very high quality blade steel around $200.
The flipping action is absolutely second to NONE. The blades are ALWAYS centered. Fit and finish are always perfect.
I have a few inexpensive Kershaw knives made in China as well. The extremely high quality manufacturing standards are present in these knives as well. Blade steel is less expensive, but they use named steel, so you know what you are getting. No 'mystery metal'. Fit and finish is extremely good.
If you can only afford an inexpensive knife, buy a Kershaw. You won't be disappointed.
