For the final knot I'm usually setup to be pulling down with the point of the blade/sheath in my gut/crotch. I'm sure you were being very cautious, but with the amount of izula bites from this, it's something to look into closer and see if it's always the same part causing the popouts. (i spent a little too much time working in the safety dept)

Dizwolf, Shotgunner posted this about using a vise (I've got 2 in my garage & never thought about it) to keep from getting cut. I had done it like you do, make sure I am pulling down with the last pull towards me. I have an Izula coming either tomorrow or Monday, it will be headed to the vise when it gets wrapped & that's a promise.

i didnt take a pic of the wrap but it was just the same as most, id take a pic but my daughter already wraped it for christmas gift for her friend.

man cricket I hope you heal up and everything's fine.. thank God you didn't hit a tendon, I've been there last march and my finger still isn't right.. didn't sever just stabbed the tendon..
