As of now, there are no more shows listed for this year.
Also, I wonder if GEC knows there's an eastern part of their state...?

LOL, And GEC's DO lend themselve's sooo nicely to the cameras eye
and not just eye candy, these folks have nailed the execution of so many patterns, I am grateful for our modern light speed communications for the ability to share and enjoy such things as these...

It is funny when you realize a company producing items that harken back to the early days of the early 20th century have been popularized by late 20th/early 21st century technology. I never would have heard of GEC without the web and I'm in their home state, albeit on the Eastern side.

I would not have gotten interested in pocket knives if not for the Internet, specifically BladeForums and Ebay. They were like a match and fuel for me once I got the bug. The spark began on a vacation when I wanted to buy a pocket knife "for old times sake" and could not find a good one anywhere. I find the GEC line very interesting knives. They do a great job.
Interesting times indeed.
The beauty of the internet is that it allows niche makers to connect with niche buyers directly without needing to get local brick and mortar stores involved. Brick and mortar stores have overhead costs for carrying inventory so they tend towards stuff with larger mass appeal.
Do a google search for "Rivendell Bikes" or "Acorn Bike Bags" and you can find other relatively recent manufacturers who are using the same internet marketing and sales approach to deliver classically designed stuff to their customers. No interest in driving the discussion to classic bike stuff. Just noting that the interest in traditional knives is a part of a larger retail phenomenon.
