Great Eastern Cutlery KRACK-A-JACK Cotton Sampler

It looks like the sping is a little proud of the blade at full open and I was wondering if that was just lighting or my trick eyes.

I think you're right Kerry. But that's pretty good for a production knife.

the etch , shield, bone, grinds everything is so purty.would love some of that bone on a gec muskrat.thanks for showing.

Kerry, thanks for the insight from Wilfred. The sampler in the Remington catalog picture actually has a recurve right at the tip, making the point a mini lancet. A neat old photo, thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the great comments on the KRACK-A-JACK, it's always great to post something and learn from the process. Here is a small bio of the knife from the GEC website.

FEBRUARY 18, 2010

Shipped to CHARLES DORTON AND ROBERT ROARK --

a production run of 3 3/4" Cotton Sampler single blade Trapper with a Krack-A-Jack tang stamp. This production run has end caps and Antique Amber jigged bone handles

Kerry I will try to post a few more pictures this weekend to give you a better look at the construction of the knife. It has a fairly stiff pull into the half stop position and I wouldn't want to leave my finger in the way when moving it into the closed position....

I am a Cotton sampler freak that would own as many as I could if other knives wouldn't stop getting in the way...:)
