Great Eastern Cutlery Sunfish?

i ordered one from the internet. at first i wasn't expecting such a beast of a knife and i didn't like it but, it grew on me and now i really love it. it is one hell of a good solid heavy working knife. i love it so much that in order to avoid wearing it out i only sharpen it with 1000 or 2000 grit stones. it's in my pocket now and yes it is one of the heaviest folders i have but, it's not like it's too much work to carry such a fine piece of cutlery as well as a great conversation piece.

I've been keeping mine in my back pocket since this thread started. I love the jigged bone. It's a fun knife to have.

Jared got me onto GEC and now I am screwed! Seriously I love the brand. I have no experience with the one you are after but I really like the 54 big jack. Also the 23 is pretty nice for a single blade, though it doesn't feel as solid/beefy as the 54. Have fun!

I have carried my #36 in a front pocket for a number of months but this is what I have been carrying mine is lately.

I am very curious about the Sunfish from GEC that I ordered their most recent #36 version (just released end of June 2011). I wanted the larger one and have been watching for one that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I want a slip joint that is a solid handful for EDC. Guess I will have to wait and see if the 4.25" length is just too big for pocket carry. Got the knife today (Ref Post #25). I have never handled a GEC Sunfish pattern knife before. Man, this is one handful! I like it. In fact I like it better than either of the other two GEC knives I own. I can't wait to show this knife around to some that appreciate such things. The picture in the link does not do it justice. However, the knife is marked "Crimson Grizzly" versus brown jig bone and more like the one pictured in Post #24. I actually like it better.
