great EDC blades under $40.

hey guys i'm looking for a good small/med EDC i don't really care about the brand or where their made as long as there nice for under $40. got any ideas?
 
check out the budget kershaws(brawler, chill, clash, nerve, oso sweet, rjII, scamp, volt II, etc). their price to quality ratio is some of the best on the market.
 
Gerber fast draw assisted opening high carbon stainless holds edge well its not a benchmade or spyderco but it is like 25 or 30 bucks i use mine prolly 20 times a day for prolly last 3 years good knife for the $ and i like that it is thin when clipped to ur pocket some edc knives are so wide uncomfortable to carry
 
Any of the Kit Carson M16 or M21 series. Multiple size and color options, and available from our friends at Bayou Laforche for less than thirty.

Also the Graham Folding Razel. Darn near bulletproof.
 
Spyderco Tenacious or the Ontario RAT1. I was recently surprised by the quality of the Kershaw Crown for less than $15.
 
any kershaw ,Rat 1 , enlan el-02 , utilitac 2 or any spyderco in that price point will not disapoint. I also agree with Shorttime the CRKT razel is a awesome work knife.
 
Kabar dozier is great.

Enlan el02 is incredible and literally matches up in quality to my 150$ folders.

Any budget Kershaw

Crkt drifter, m16 line, desert cruiser and so on.
 
The Leek's nice too... but for 10 bucks more than your 40 dollar limit, there are Delicas to be had
 
Another vote for the byrd line of knives. Surprising quality for the price. Also, the Kabar Dozier folder line, Good economical knives. RAT1 is good but on the large side in my opinion.
 
My usual answer is Tenacious or RAT-1, both good choices with my vote going to the Tenacious for overall value.

Recently added another to the list, the Ka-Bar/Dozier Phat Bob. AUS-8, Canvas Micarta handles. Attractive and solid.
 
Spyderco Tenacious, Kershaw Skyline, and Ontario Rat-1 are all great knives. Just figure out which one you like best, ready your credit card, and wait a few days. You'll love whichever you choose!
