great EDC

There Are A Few Knives I'd Recommend As A Larger EDC That Are Sub $40.

Sub $40:
Benchmade HK Ascender
Spyderco Tenacious
Spyderco Resilience
Kershaw Nerve
Kershaw Scamp
Kershaw Shallot - Get This As a Blem From Kershaw Guy.
Kershaw One Ton
Kershaw Tremor
Kershaw RJ I
CRKT Notorious

A Little Over $40:
Kershaw JYD II
CRKT Firespark
Spyderco Endura - If You're Looking For Large.
Spyderco Delica - If You're Looking For Midsize.
Spyderco Native If You're Looking For Midsize.
Etc.

ginaz would you recommend the large rather than the med. plus is that the tri ad lock and is it as strong as on the cold steel videos? thanks.

i haven't hung my body weight from it but the large voyager certainly gives a sense of confidence. the medium is just too small at 3" and the XL at 5.5" is a bit overkill

hey guys im looking for a pretty large EDC. I have the Kershaw needs work and i really like it but im looking for something fast, strong, and sharp. id like it to be under 40$ and have good serrations any ideas? thanks.

I'm not entirely sure how fast you need your knife to open, and I don't know if it comes serrated (blech!), but the Kabar Dozier Large Folding Hunter is very well built, and under 40 bucks.

It also comes sharp, but, like all knives, it will need to be sharpened eventually. Or I suppose you could toss it and buy a new one when it gets dull. :D

If you want to become a spyderco fan boy, buy a tenacious. That was my first knife I ever bought and now I can't stop buying spyderco folders :P

Also the Delica is great but a little smaller than the tenacious but with VG-10 steel which I love for EDC use. I think its worth the extra cash!

Do yourself a favor, check out the Endura also.

alright guys i'm really looking at the spyderco persistence. I just love how it looks and nutnfancy said he thought that it was a better EDC then the tenacious. Thoughts on that? thanks.
