I stopped in Gander Mountain after seeing the movie Serenity, just to look around. I was blown away, Maryland just doesn't have stores like this! Their used gun selection was great, at least in the area of rifles, and their knife selection was a lot better than most department sporting goods stores I've been in. After spending a long time in the Airgun department, I moseyed on over to the gun rack, and spent a lot of time perusing the bolt action and lever action used rifles. I actually got to speak to a sales associate who knew something about guns. Usually, in the big department stores, I know more about the guns I'm looking at than the sales staff, and I'm no expert AT ANYTHING!. The guy helped me out with a special order for a Marlin bolt action 22, and I walked off to peruse the rest of the store. I saw a pair of Nike waterproof hiking boots that I wanted to get, but they didn't have size 13. Now I've got a pair coming in and will pick them up on Friday. I asked in the fishing department about a Benchmade 100H20 fixed blade, and was told that they didn't have them, but that I should check back over in Hunting. I had already seen the stores selection, at least they carried Benchmade Red Class knives, but I thought I'd check again. Looking at the knives under glass, I saw a Benchmade Outbounder, and it was priced at 60 bucks! No box, so I got it at 10% off. This store really took care of me, and the staff was very knowledgeable. I'll be shopping there again!

I have gotten a lot of good deals at gander mtn. $69 buck adrenaline ti, $89 gerber spectre, lots of really good prices. If the one in rochester is any indication they seem to be trying to get rid of their higer end folders and fixed blades so that they can nix their knife counter and just sell cheap gerber, benchmade red class, KaBar, kershaw, and CRKT, but that just means better prices for us. They don't seem to have put any new knives under glass since I got a spectre there six months ago.
