I stopped by Willey Knives in Greenwood Delaware while on my way to Ocean City MD for a short vacation this past weekend. I didn't have much to spend on knives, but it is always a treat to stop by. Mr. Willey, the owner, and his daughter, the other owner and manager of the store, are good people, and they host a Case event and a Buck event every year, both of which I'd like to get down for one of these days. Mr. Willey was out picking up sharpening orders (from the surrounding shore towns' restaurants), and Geri was busy, I got to meet her brother Matt, and we talked about knives for some time. They carry brands like Chris Reeve, ESEE, Case, Benchmade, Spyderco, HTM, William Henry, Buck, Queen and many others, including naturally Victorinox and Leatherman. They don't trade at all, and I saw a lot I wanted, but asked without thinking about the Case Bose annual for this year, the wharncliff trapper.

They had it, the antique bone model.

It was a beaut and kept calling my name.

The price was a lot better than some online sites were quoting. After hemming and hawing, I took the plunge and they took very good care of me. It is a really nice knife, perfect size, great grinds, one of the best I've seen of the collaborations I have. I complained about the MSRP to boot, in the Traditionals forum, for which I should have just said gee whiz, I hope I find a good price, and move on. Well, I'm not complaining about the price at Willey knives.

Problem is, they only have one of each handle material. I believe that Matt said their inventory of the ebony and stag were already pre sold, but they had a peach bone(?) and an abalone MOP on the way that were not spoken for.

You can order online from Willey knives also. http://www.willeyknives.com/ Good people to deal with.
