2007 Was a hell of a year for the Bowies as evident in the past threads. Obviously there are more fixed blade collectors on here then folder, placing me in the minority. I miss seeing pictures of folders by popular makers.
Lets get some good folder submissions on here which were relatively made in or around 2007. I've probably posted all of these before.

This was my special order from Don Hanson, delivered at Blade. Check out the outstanding blue ivory and the multicolored liners. He really nailed what I had described to him.

This is a Josh Smith Folder I randomly came across on Blade Gallery.

This Hanson was made fairly recently and after purchasing it I had Coop work his incredible magic on it in the NYC show..

I also like this Barry Davis model from Knife Legends. I think it was made this year but I could be wrong.

Jonathan,

Lovely knives, Don Hanson lll has been wearing me down. I think 2008 will see my first full blown custom folder.

Can't wait to see it Peter.
I got my first in '07 I have one on order with Don as well.
Seems it happens to us all at some point.

Gorgeous folders Jon.

Jon, some would think those folders are "too pretty" to be useful to anyone ;):D

Peter, I thought that was a top level secret :)

Here are a few that I like:

This Hanson from the Chicago show:

If anyone has a good pic of his stag / damascus slipjoint from that show - I nominate that as well!

I believe this Bradshaw piece is of 2007 vintage:

useless, uesless all of them!!! i'm sure they do a good job of sitting in a dislpay somehwere though.

They are quite useless. Actually I enjoy them all so much. Everyday I think about just throwing one in my pocket and leaving the house with it, but that wouldnt be practical. I don't have much art on my walls and I keep a Tomway case at an upright angle on my desk to display six folders. I look at them everyday/night as I sit at the computer and they are more pleasing then standard art would be attached to the wall. If I had to save a life, I would use one but most likely they will remain as eye candy.

Chuck, you have some great and unique designs there. I like the last four the most.

Excellent. The Davis is simply oustanding albeit pre-2007. Coop could probably tell you for sure. I wish I had something to contribute but I've been concentrating on fixed blades :)

Here is a very nice folder by Gayle Bradley. It's a very smooth operating lockback, CPM D2, SS, mammoth tooth scales.
