Great Folders for 2007

Well if I could use the search function I could post a picture, but the take-down folder Coop posted a while back was astounding.

Here is the other folder Don submitted for his MS knives in Atlanta 2007:

Three of Don's slipjoints for the 2007 Chicago show (the stag posted earlier by itself):

And, one of the few tactical folders Don has made (2007 model):

Tim's take-down folder easily makes the top ten. Or five. Or three... ;) Charles Bennica is especially deserving, too.
My head will explode if I tried to figure out my Top Choices. I literally shot 400+ folders for 2007 for makers and dealers. Yikes! (175 of which are on a website still unannounced)

I'll come back tonight and see if I can post some more highlights.

I'm loving these pic filled threads lately!

I miss my Hanson slim trapper (sob sob).

Those Bennica's with the tortoise shell are killer. I love picture filled threads as well, lets keep them coming. Coop i'd imagine it being difficult to give some of those 400+ folders back.:D

Keep them coming guys! I'd love to see recent pics of whats out there. Im especially interested the custom folders that go from the work bench to the collection. We never get to see those peices. Do you guys have any you'd be kind enough to share??

Heres a couple 2007 pieces from Ken Steigerwalt. Photos courtesy of Coop and Knifeart:

Al Dippold folding dagger I saw on Blade Gallery a while back. It actually features some Hanson bugs and faces forged into Al's steel.

Not many of you seem too interested in Mel Pardue's work.. I used to be into it when I started collecting and sort of lost interest but from time to time it still inerests me. I think he actually makes very nice knives but so many of them that I get bored by alot of models. I owned one that felt real nice in the hand and was great quality. Heres a photo I grabbed from True North's site and I merged the pictures together. I think its an elegant looking fighting knife.

This, by the way, is Coops photo version of the first knife I posted.

I can never get enough of that one. Thank you Don!!

Also, here are some 2007 Cliff Parkers I liked. I took the photo at Blade over the summer.

I really like Cliff Parker's work. Great damascus maker, uses a lot of ivory, super small packages with great detail. This may not be a '07 folder, but worth a look.

Great to see some Cliff Parker knives here.

Cliff is one of the top damascus folder makers but has very little internet exposer.

Here's one I picked up from Kit in Atlanta this year.....all 12 1/2" of it!

Here's a very nice Slipjoint Steve Dunn completed recently with a cow bone handle, engraved bolsters, and escutcheon, 1084 Blade, 3 3/4 blade. Steve has just got back into making Slipjoints.
