Great knife article

"We are designed by nature to function in tandem with the edge because as a species we have traded body parts for it. Take away my steel claw, and I am functionally disabled. "

Pretty neat article. Interesting perspective.

Bookmarked for later inspection. Hopefully it'll give me an answer for that question. Right now when someone asks me why I need a knife I'm like a deer caught in the headlights. Not because I'm scared, I'm just dumb founded by why someone would ask that question.

I have done the same thing when someone asks me. I just have this thousand yard stare, and then want to ask you don't know what a knife is for. I don't say anything and they stare at me like I am a kid playing with gasoline and matches. There are so many people like this we knife guys are seriously out numbered.

I enjoyed that !! Thanks
I usually don't have an answer when people ask me why I carry a knife( although it's more realistically part of my "being" ) but now I do. I got my first pocketknife when I was about eight years old, but even before that I would sharpen popcicle sticks on the front porch and carry them in my pocket. Now it makes sense !!

Always have thought that the knife IS THE TOOL as stated... From the knife all else has sprung. All other tools out side of the club (and maybe that too, at least a better club) are made with the knife.
I liked that article. Thanks!

just got done reading it. nice article but it's too wordy imho. if someone takes the time to read more than a few paragraphs then they're already a convert. he should've stopped after the "try making a Boeing 747 with your fingernails".

Interesting article. I think it is well written but it totally mystifies me why people insist on this unsound theory that the earth is billions of years old...

First time I've seen that. Thanks for posting a link to it.

It's really great stuff. I'm emailing the link to friends.

Thanks brother,
David

Yeah I thought I was a knife nut, this guy probably bolted a knife to his hand. It It is a little wordy but the message to people who don't understand the primal connection us knife guys have with this tool is undeniable and gives us a little ammo when people look at us like we are crazy for even liking knives. Thanks guys for checking it out.
