I do not know what exactly was wrong with your composite blade leek as mine is great.

Out of NINE Kershaws I had to send THREE back and ONE was missing markings that all US Kershaws should have. FOUR FLAWS TOTAL! --- Kershaw quality control batting average from my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE THE IS A SHOCKINGLY HORRID 44% FLAW RATE.

The most ROTTEN and shocking knife is the Nakamura. Great design but ULTRA poor QC. Kershaw bought a bunch of quince wood and cut all the Nakamura scales wrong so that it does not fit the bolsters. Kershaw knew the scales did not fit and opted to fill the gap with crap rather than creating a product where the scales fit properly. The Buck Koji, in the same price range is 5 times the knife of the Kershaw.

All knives were purchased from different reputable vendors

The best can have ZERO excuses and has NO quarter for rest.

If the best sleeps and lets things slip nothing falls faster than a sleeping giant.

The RAM feels GREAT in my hand. If that does not work out for ya, I would look into Benchmade.

Kershaw's are great but if you need to protect yourself from forgetting what's in your pocket... or have a small child in the house.... look into knives which have a lock open AND lock closed. I think all the lone wolf Pauls do that. Not sure if Kershaw has one, but if so, try that

For the past few years I have carried my Benchmade MiniGrip 555 and have really loved it. This is the first knife with a pocket clip that didn't immediately bend after only a week of edc. I might look into getting a slim/smal kershaw for kahki/trouser edc but have been really impressed with this Benchmade so far. I know this is the Kershaw sub, but does anyone know if Benchmades are made completely in the USA similar to what Sal recently stated about Spyderco?

He states what constitutes made in USA, not that all are made in USA.
Like I said, I didn't think Sal would make the statement that all Spiderco's
are made in the USA. It's just not true. Sal even notes such a model in
the closing of that thread.

I guess all the newer Kershaw's wouldn't qualify under that definition. After all, surely the blade constitutes more than 5% of the product, and since the 13C26 and 14C28 steels come from Sweden, it fails Sal's definition.

Edit to add: ...even though the blades are cut, shaped, ground, polished, and sharpened in the U.S.
