Great Knives Under 3"

BM 707, Sage 1, Native 5, Delica 4

The best out of all those is the 707, its so tiny but packs an amazing blade. You wont even feel it in your pocket. Its perfect knife IMHO.

As the others have said, Kershaw has a bunch of them. The leek is nice, but I actually prefer the scallion, which is the next size down. The Frame-lock version is better than the liner locks with these. But with a blade length less than 2.5 inches, you can take it even more places than the 3" blades. e.g. city and other government buildings, Federal reservations, some college campuses. Check your local laws to be sure though.

It is illegal here in Rhode Island too.
Great 3 inch or less

Strider Sj75
Small Sebenza
Emerson CQC-7 mini
Grayman Dua
Spyderco Sage 2
Mcusta

hope this helps

I'm from Rhode Island too and I used to be neurotic about keeping my blade lengths under 3", but now I realize it's much easier to just be an upstanding, law abiding citizen and then carry whatever you want. It's only illegal if the police search you and find it, just don't give them a reason to do it :D

That being said, I find the best knives with blades under 3" are ones with a deep finger choil on the handle, like the Benchmade 755 MPR. That deep finger choil is the only way you'll be able to get a four finger grip if you have normal sized hands.
