I would like to know what are some great little knives. Anything 3in and under optimally a knife of 2,2.5,3in. I am not into fixed blades so just folders. I have a few balisongs that fit this description already, now mainly folders. I am open to any suggestion, this is just going to be a fun knock around knife, but if you want you can suggest expensive knives. I gnerally will not drop a lot on a knife unless it is a balisong, but any suggestions will work. I always like spyderco and benchmade knives.

Spyderco Dragonfly G10, great little knife with a 2.25in blade including the choil.

The Kershaw Chive comes to my mind. They aren't too terribly expensive either. Also spyderco makes the both the Ladybug and Manbug but these may be a bit on the small side given your taste.

2.7 inch built like a tank..lol

Some of my favorite folders with blades around 3 inches or less are the Spyderco Delica, Benchmade mini Griptilian, SOG Visionary I, SOG mini Spec Elite, and BM mini Barrage. Those are listed in order of price. The least expensive being the Delica. To some they may all be considered to be too expensive though. :o

Get a Spyderco Sage.
Or a Spyderco Caly 3 with CF and ZDP-189 steel.
Or just jump on the wagon and get a CRK Small Sebenza.

I second the spyderco dragonfly. I prefer the ss version. 1 7/8" cutting edge.

+1 on dragonflys. I have a vg-10 and zdp-189 version and I love them. May be small for some, but their ergos are fantastic. I'll be picking up a g10 and ss version soon to round out the collection.

A lot of people like the kershaw leek as well. Worth checking out, as there are several variations.

I have given 10 Dragonfly2's away as gifts. They are exceptional knives and will do the work and feel like a much bigger knife. I however, prefer the VG-10 due to cost reasons and it is one heck of a steel anyways.

I have converted 10 wimpy, non knife carrying, sissy pants to Dragonfly2 EDC'ers.

Its a superb knife and my pick in the under 2.5" blade class.

+1 to Benchmade Mini-Grip. Available in a wide range of colors and blade steels, and with a growing aftermarket for customization.

Also, the CRKT Stubby Pocket Razel. I have one that trades off with my Mini-Grip on a regular basis, but be aware that the ram's horn handles are the only choice, and they make the knife feel very thick, especially in a jeans pocket. I took them off and tried the DIY stonewash process on mine. Carries much flatter now, and still performs flawlessly.

Honorable mention goes to the Kershaw Crown, which I use in more formal situations, and the CRKT K.I.S.S. and P.E.C.K.

That's funny, I've given away a few Dragonflys myself. It's a great gift and a great start into the world of nicer-than-WalMart knives.

My suggestions are:

Spyderco Dragonfly (I like Color and H1 isn't a terrible steel, so I'd get the Yellow/Salt-version)
Spyderco Chaparral (slightly larger than the D-fly)
Spyderco Native 5 (slightly larger than the Chaparral, but not as large as the Sage)
Benchmade 470 Emissary
Benchmade 585 Mini Barrage
Kershaw Leek
Kershaw Skyline (you can still find the Orange ones at Cabelas - it was a dealer exclusive)
Kershaw Zing (these can also be found in Orange)

I have bought a spyderco native 5, although knowing me its going to be a catch and release (I have that issue), so keep going with the great suggestions.

Lucas burnley squid both are for sale;)
