While working with a customer at the Boise knife show, John Doyle overheard the man say that he loved my knife but didn't want a cross-draw sheath. John took a sheath from one of his knives and it fit mine. I made the sale, and he refused anything for the sheath. Just a real cool move, Thanks again John. And congrats on your 2 awards as well.

The generosity of the knife community as a whole and especially knife makers towards their brother and sister makers is what keep me in the community and what is the motivation of the work on this site.

That is why you sometimes see me react without much kindness to the folks who waltz into BFC saying what is the big deal, it is only the internet. I feel sorry for those who carry that attitude. They miss the best part of this amazing community of knives and its people.

Just saw this, I met John at the Boise ID Show and was immediately impressed with his character and kindness! Nice move John. On a side note John was just featured in a great article in "Knife World". One of the many makers I try to emulate.
