Well, there is a contradiction of terms if I ever saw one!

Be happy M-D. Ya done good with your first real knife. Don't tell yourself its the last knife you will ever need, or you will find yourself needing a new one by, say...maybe next week.

Hey Vel, my wife Refuses to go into book stores with me along. There was a famous 20 minute stop (I promised) that lasted three hours a few years ago, and now we can not go to bookstores together anymore. It's OK, because I refuse to go shopping for clothes with her.

Hee hee. Para, I chose that particular phrase because I was sure that, outside Beelzebub himself, no-one had ever uttered such a sentence in English before.

Portland, Oregon boasts the home of Powell's City of Books... a monstrosity of a bookstore. My wife will only accompany me to that town if she is granted a large sum of money-to-burn, the car keys, and the accompaniment of a friend. She has seen me burn upwards of 4 hours there.

Metal-Demon, please don't let our interest in books cloud your triumphant thread here tho. Truly a good selection, and if my guess is right, nowhere near your last.

Portland has a lot of great book stores, new and used. My girlfriend was real upset she didn't go with me to my cousin's wedding out there. Had to have the hotel ship the books back. They put me over the baggage weight limit. What I love is the knife shop I was in yesterday where I was looking at the $60 to $140 stuff and the sales person, who I told I didn't need help, kept trying to show me the great $10 to $20 knives, like the one he carried. Don't mind free advise but he was getting too pushy.

It is not the fall that kills you. It is the realization that "yes, you did something that stupid."

The next thing you know you'll be wanting a handmade Kasper, guaranteed!!!! Congrats on the knife, I'm sure you will love it. I hope you enjoy the serrations. I am one of the few defenders of serrations around here, and I feel that no "all-around" use knife is complete without them.

Demon,
I keep waiting for the "I just bought another knife" thread to pop up !!

The KFF is a sweet knife. I got a chance to play with the large version the other weekend--the handle fits my hand like no other. Congrats on the acquisition!
