I won't go into specifics here because although it a great help to me, things like this happen here quite a bit. I also would not like anyone to pester people for favors to much. But, a little while back I needed something done that I didn't have the correct equipment for. I posted for help and several responded offering to help me out. I PMed the first to respond and sent him my material with funds for return postage plus a little for his trouble. He helped me out and sent back my steel set up like I requested. Plus, he tossed in a small piece of extra. I gotta say thanks, Mike. The kind of people that are common here and in the knife community are not near as common in a lot of places. I appreciate the offers of the others who responded and would not have been a bit surprised to receive about the same results with any of them.
Thank you guys for making this a great place. This isn't the first time. I hope to hold up my end here.
One guy in particular here has a very high degree of my respect. Not only is he an excellent sharing craftsman, but an all around great guy. Shortly after my wife died he invited me down to share a day in his shop. I was kind of a wreck and a nice calm day talking knives and enjoying a wonderful day with his family helped me more that he knows. Till now. Thank you again.
