Great REKAT Service

I thought I should tell everyone about the fine service I am receiving from the folks at REKAT. I have had a Carnivore since March of this year. Recently it developed some vertical blade play so I decided to send it in for repair.

Some time back, Bob Taylor commented on this forum that vertical blade play was most often caused by opening the knife too forcefully. He explained this caused elongation of the hole in which the blade stop pin rests. This, he said would be considered abuse and would not be covered by the warranty.

With that in mind, I offered to pay for the repairs if REKAT deemed the problem had been caused by my mishandling. On Monday of this week, I called REKAT to see if they had received my knife and to check on the status of repairs. I was told a new knife was being sent to me on Tuesday by UPS.

Needless to say I am quite pleased by this kind of service and look forward to receiving my new knife.
