I recently sent three different knives to Benchmade all at once for warranty and non warranty service. I spoke with Angie on the phone before I sent the knives and she was very helpful.
As instructed by Angie I sent in the knives with a description of the problem and $25.00 for the shipping and the service.
The knives sent were the 730 that the screw head twisted off on the clip leaving most of the screw in the knife. The two other knives were both Sentinels. One of them I had purchased with stripped holes for the belt clip and the other one was one that I asked them to replace the blade on. It was do to a defect but because I had used the knife daily for 3yrs and I just wanted to restore the knife as much as possible. I also asked to have it changed from the original serrated to a non serrated.
On the 730 they not only pulled out the screw but they replaced the G10 on both sides of the handles. On the Sentinel with stripped screw holes they completely replaced the liner and gave me a new clip. On the other Sentinel they replaced the blade. My only gripe was that the liner was difficult to disengage but I took the knife apart and polished where the liner engages on the blade making it much smoother. On all 3 knives they sharpened them doing a rather good job. The only cost to me was a very reasonable $25.00 for shipping and blade replacement and it only took two in a half weeks including shipping time.
All in all I am very impressed with BM's service. I will be sure to send a thank you to Anigie and staff.
