Great Torx Driver at Home Depot $5.99

T. Erdelyi - thank you.

Warranty voiding? I modify my users anyway, so taking them apart is the fun part.

Man, I actually found something at Home Depot that I was looking for. Picked up one of the torx and one regular. Great set, though I wish there was room in the compartment for all of the bits instead of just three out of four. Mine were $6.97 (Hawaii inflation).

Hi Zengh, I was gonna post that same comment. :( I got my torx and screwdriver sets last night. I was mightily disappointed that all the bits couldn't fit in the handle. I know I'm gonna lose the one in the throat. Also they can poke thru the carry case. I have mine in a BucketBuddy contractor briefcase. :)
I guess it's a stronger handle to torque, etc with the three compartment instead of a four.
Nice set tho.

Try a small piece of clear tubing, it'll protect the end and it'll keep the inserted bit from getting lost.

Got mine today ~! Great deal . willl come in handy . Wish they had a small allan set also !

T. Erdelyi,
Thanks for the tip. I got my set yesterday.

Is your handle gray, in the picture it looked bluish to me--so when I was looking for it....you get the idea. Your picture was also so clear that I guess I had an impression of a bigger tool. If I had thought about the small bits, I guess I would have known better.

So for those still planning on purchasing, look for a package in the six inch range, with a tool just under that. The philips/slotted set has a red cap, instead of the torx black. Lastly, and most importantly, MAKE SURE it has FOUR bits. I saw one package that only had three. The packaging appeared intact too. I handed it to a Home Depot employee as defective, showing her the ones I had, that contained four. Don't know what she did with it, she seemed a little stunned. For those extremely picky people, I did see one that had a brown stain on the inside of the tip, perhaps rust, so check it out if you care.

To The Towcutter. Keep up the good work at Husky.

Now life will be even better if I can locate an Allway Tools FS2 Folding Pocket saw with a wood cutting blade and one for metal. 4.5" closed and 8.5" open. Product number 037064-042004. Can anyone assist me in finding one of these? They were even advertised by Home Depot in California a few years ago at $1.97. I imagine they are probably closer to $5 now. I have checked several sources in Miami, including at the Home Depot which had the Husky torx driver, Florida, and have not found one.

That's exactly what happened to me. I was looking for a regular sized driver (not a precision one) so I was standing there for what seemed like forever thinking, "Dammit, one more thing that I can't find at my Home Depot." Luckily I persevered long enough to stumble across it.
